I was born and raised in the suburbs of the Bassa Padana, an area of the Northern Italy where the fog can change your feelings and you perception of reality. In the same days I was born The Italian national Brodcaster began broadcasting in color: it is evident that it could not be by accident.

I escaped from the three miles of curves that separated me from the real life and took refuge in Bologna where I earned two degrees - don’t ask me way? - and Ph.D. in film studies - same as before. I have studied art, photography, and all the form of movie but I’ve mainly dealt with blockbuster movies, piracy, and the effects of digital media in the audiovisual field.
I was honored (or perhaps just lucky) to win a Working Capital research grant funded by Telecom Italia to study the effect of piracy on media. A noble pursuit, of course, but let’s be real—it was also a great way to keep police from throwing me in jail. I even managed to publish a couple of books and several essays on blockbusters, pirates, and other things you people wouldn't believe.

From 2013 onward, I'm Editor and Publisher Manager for the Italian market of Flipboard, helping millions of users find inspiring stories that can change the world. Or at least entertain them during coffee breaks.

To kill time, I managed various collaborations and consulting projects for local and national companies. My secret talent? Helping producers, institutions, and private clients package their most important stories in ways that made them seem even more important.

As for photography, I'm the classic wannabe with a love for street photography that never quite loved me back. I diligently attended beginner and advanced photography courses, a photo editing masterclass at Spazio Labò, a workshop with Jason Fulford (yes, the Jason Fulford), and even a portrait course with Francesca Cesari and exhibition design with Kublaiklan. A few of my shots has been picked up by Perimetro, Urban Photo Award, and Fabrica. And yes, one of them even won the Spazio Betti “Il corpo che abito” photography competition. Try not to be too impressed.
When I'm not pretending to be Wolfgang Tillmans, I enjoy cooking sophisticated vegetarian dishes for my omnivorous friends, who politely pose as they like them. My nightstand is perpetually overloaded with unread books because, apparently, hoarding knowledge is almost as satisfying as actually acquiring it. Yoga? Sure, I should have done more, but let’s face it—web flânerie is a far more rewarding workout. And, of course, I love learning and discovering new things. In my social media bios, I always wright that my kids came first—because if you don’t declare it publicly, does it even count?
